Friends favourite Matt Le Blanc has been confirmed as the new presenter for the refreshed BBC Top Gear show.
The 48-year old will join Chris Evans in the new presenting line-up – making him the first non-British host in the show’s history.
The news was revealed by Evans, who tweeted an image of himself, Matt and The Stig, who will be the only remaining element from the previous show’s line-up:

The actor has appeared twice on the show, and currently holds the record for the fastest celebrity to make it around the Top Gear track in a reasonably priced car.
The show will return to BBC in May, after Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May left their roles in front of the camera for a deal with Amazon.
Let’s just hope that he has more luck than Joey…
