It’s not the first time they’ve done it, either.
Love Island fans were fuming last night after they were left in suspense over who would be dumped from the villa.
In scenes that aired on Thursday, it was revealed that there would be a recoupling – and that the two boys not picked would be leaving the series.
The three single boys, Dr. Alex George; Kieran Nicholls; and Idris Virgo, each tied to impress Alexandra Cane, the newest Islander to enter the villa.
She was seen telling Laura that while she was physically attracted to Idris, she had the “strongest communication” with Alex.
Jack Fincham told the Beach Hut that the possibility of losing Alex would be the “biggest blow” he would feel from anyone’s departure from the show.
Alexandra later said in the Beach Hut that she had mixed emotions about the looming ceremony:
“Ultimately, the decision is down to me. I have now got to choose between Alex, Kieran and Idris… The three guys that I’ve got to choose between, they are all so nice.
“It’s just making my decision really, really hard because they are all so lovely and I don’t want to send anybody home… I’ve got to go with my instinct, and who my mind and heart is telling me.”
By the episode’s end, everyone was getting ready for the recoupling ceremony.
And that’s just about where it actually cut off: no recouping ceremony; another cliffhanger; and many, many angry viewers.
