Loose Women has been criticised for its latest online poll.
Following on from Chrissie Hynde’s comments about victims of rape, the show decided to ask their fans if it is ever a woman’s fault.

Chrissie Hynde sparked outrage with her comments.
The tweet read: “POLL: After Pretenders singer Chrissie Hynde’s comments- we’re asking is it ever a woman’s fault if she is raped?”
Many people were outraged by the question and took to Twitter to express their anger.
@loosewomen it’s not even a question, shouldn’t even be an open forum! No it is unacceptable and unforgivable … No is no

@loosewomen people need to stop victim blaming. Only the rapist is to blame. — aimzzz✌️ (@lolitsaimee) September 1, 2015
@loosewomen How about a poll asking if it’s ever NOT the rapist’s fault? It’ll be pretty fucking conclusive.

@loosewomen This is disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourselves. — Hannah (@nananah) September 1, 2015
@loosewomen to blame. In every 85,000+ instances last year, the rapist was to blame. He is the one who chose to commit a violent crime.

Over the weekend singer Chrissie spoke out about her experience of sexual assault and how women need to use their “common sense” in certain situations.
She said: “If I’m walking around and I’m very modestly dressed and I’m keeping to myself and someone attacks me, then I’d say that’s his fault.
“But if I’m being very lairy and putting it about and being provocative, then you are enticing someone who’s already unhinged – don’t do that. Come on! That’s just common sense.”
