Well, this is definitely going to make things awkward.
Christmas is meant to be a time of celebration, family and good will – unless you’re a character in soapland.
Then the holiday season is actually full of breakups, drama and death.
The one thing that usually stays the same between the two, though, is the fact that there’s pretty much guaranteed to be at least one family row.
EastEnders is taking things to a whole new level this year, though, as Kat Slater is reportedly set to find out about the secret love child her husband, Alfie, has with her cousin.
Hayley gave birth to a baby girl last month – around the time that Walford seemed to experience a never-ending Halloween – and has since been keen to keep the name of her little girl’s father under wraps.
But with Alfie – who doesn’t know about his daughter, as he thought Hayley had a termination – set to be back in Albert Square soon, it looks like it won’t be staying a secret for long.
The Sun report that things are going to come to a head on Christmas Day, as Kat finds out the truth in “classic Slater” scenes.
A source told the publication:
“The scenes will be classic Slaters. It will be a huge row and will be carnage.
“It will hark back to the days of Kat yelling at Zoe about being her mum all those years ago.
“Alfie is going to have a big headache, come Boxing Day, and it won’t be because of the Christmas wine.”
