Love Island‘s been alright this year. Like, alright.
Nothing too dramatic has happened yet. Nothing too scandalous. Nothing too delightful other than the adorable and perfect Nas finally getting a date and subsequent kiss after weeks of being ignored and taken for granted.
Apart from that though, it’s all been fairly tame.
Has this compromised our willingness to watch every single episode every night? No, of course not.
Are we hopeful that something completely mad will happen ASAP so we can justify watching every single episode every night? Yes, definitely.
And now, it appears as though ITV2 has gone and answered our prayers because they’re bringing back the one Love Island challenge that’s bound to shake things up: Casa Amor.
Delicious news for all involved.
According to The Sun, producers will be chucking in six new guys and six new girls this weekend in a bid to force some eyes to start wandering.
And considering that literally no couple in there is all that strong, we can absolutely see that happening.
“Bosses are determined to cause a real stir this year with Casa Amor and have drafted in the sexiest singles yet,” said a source.
“The new Cape Town Casa Amor is just a short distance away from the main villa and as the girls and boys split, there’ll be tons of temptation in the form of gorgeous bombshells hoping to turn heads.
“The decor will feature phrases from this year’s series such as ‘Shoot Your Shot’ and ‘Trust In Your Sauce’ written on the walls.”
Cool, yeah, great.
As it stands, Paige and Finn and Shaughna and Callum appear to be the strongest couples in the villa – which really isn’t saying a whole lot considering both pairs have had quite substantial rows since the show began.
Will their heads be turned by any of the dozen set to enter the villa this week? Honestly, probably yes.
