Eastenders dropped a huge surprise last week when the Queen of the East-End, Peggy Mitchell, made an unexpected return.
Played by 78-year-old Barbara Windsor, Peggy is back to spend her final days with her son Phil.
And if, like us, you always wonder why golden boy Grant never visits, fret not, Ross Kemp will be back on the street soon.
Kemp was approached by EastEnders bosses to feature in the programme alongside Barbara Windsor’s final performances.
Kemp said: “When I was approached about returning to EastEnders for Barbara’s final episodes, it was something I could not turn down.
“Barbara is a very close friend so when I learned of the storyline, it felt right that the Mitchell brothers are reunited with their mother for the last time”.
“I am really looking forward to going back to EastEnders and filming what are set to be some classic episodes.”

Kemp left the show in 1999 and made a few appearances in the noughties but none since 2006.
And in true ‘Ender’s fashion, the shit is expected to hit the fan when Grant returns to find his ex-wife Sharon shacked up with brother Phil.
He’ll also find Phil’s ex-wife Kathy, with whom he had an affair.
Gas. Set the telly boxes to record folks, this will be good.
