Please, Jed.
Give us more.
Line Of Duty very much became a Television Event this year.
Who was H? What was Ted up to? How has one man done so well as to write both the aforementioned show as well as Bodyguard?
Jed Mercurio is a talented guy, that much we know.
We also know that he’s a great big tease, as per the image he shared on Twitter last night.
Featuring Line Of Duty cast members Martin Compston, Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar, the photos shows the foursome out to dinner in an unknown restaurant, eagerly awaiting to be joined by a selection of secret guest stars lined up for season six of the show.

Who are these secret guest stars? We hear you cry.
Not a clue, man. That’s why it’s called a secret.
Mercurio posted the photo knowing full well what he was doing – sending LOD fans into a state of manic frenzy as they desperately tried to guess who would be joining the cast.
We can neither confirm nor deny whether any of their guesses were, indeed, correct, but we do know one thing: we’re damn excited for this series to return to our screens.

There has been no official word as to when exactly season six of the wildly popular show will be dropping, but Mercurio did reveal recently that he was hoping for a 2020 return.
And lads, if the cast are already meeting up, it could very well be possible.
“That’s something that we have at the planning stage, so we are working towards a date,” said Mercurio. “We can’t confirm everything until things are in place.”
Season five on LOD aired earlier this year following a two year break though, so if the writers want to really take their time with this one, chances are they’re going to do just that.
Either way, get hype.
