Lachlan’s downfall begins on Emmerdale tonight and it sounds fairly dramatic

It all begins tonight.

It’s the moment Emmerdale fans have been hoping for.

After causing months of terror, the downfall of Emmerdale serial killer Lachlan White begins tonight [August 31].

It’s all kicking off in the village next week as Lachlan’s storyline finally comes to a head – but the surprising news that sets it all in motion is revealed tonight.

The tide has recently begun to turn for the serial killer, after cops found – and a currently investigating – a bloodied rock in the woods.

Most of the villagers had assumed that the dark discovery was actually animal blood, but – as fans know – Lachlan has at least one body hidden away: Gerry’s fake uncle Terry (and maybe Rebecca White, but we’re still holding out hope she’s alive).

Tonight’s Emmerdale episode will see Lachlan spending some time with the Dingles at The Woolpack, when Doug Potts has some unsettling news to share, according to Digital Spy.

It’s not clear what it actually is, but it’s enough to send Lachlan into a tailspin. He begins to panic and try to cover his tracks as he worries that some of his darkest secrets could be exposed and…well, he’s right.

Eventually, anyways.

Next week, Lachlan’s true colours are going to get exposed to his girlfriend, Belle – and it looks like his luck may finally be starting to run out.
