They split in 2011 but even Alex Reid has had his say on ex-wife Katie Price’s divorce from Kieran Hayler.
Katie has said that she and husband of four years Kieran are over after he had a year-lomb affair with their children’s nanny.
But Alex has told The Mirror that the divorce is a publicity stunt for Katie ahead of her upcoming tour.
“It’s extremely convenient timing, one million per cent,” he said.
“There’s no coincidence here. This whole situation is a great money making opportunity.”
He also said that he believes Kieran is being prevented from giving his side of the story.
“Having been in a similar situation, and understanding how difficult it must be for Kieran I feel sorry for him. He’s clearly signed an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) and anything he does say is being controlled by her.
“I also feel sorry for the nanny accused. There’s no factual evidence to prove what’s happened. In fact, the nanny denied everything, also claiming that Katie owes her money. Knowing Katie, it all seems very convenient. I smell a rat. She should take a lie detector test.”
Katie has spoken publicly about the divorce this week, claiming is a sex addict.
“It’s in my house again, and it’s around my kids,” she said on ITV’s Loose Women
“He’s upset but he’s done it again, you can’t come back from this.”
Kieran and Katie have two children together, Bunny and Jett, Katie’s fourth and fifth kids.
