J1’s have all the fun.
There’s always an expectation when someone goes on a J1 that they might meet a celebrity along their travels. More often than not, though, this does not happen and the chances of getting close to anybody remotely famous are slim.
But this year’s J1 students over in America have been having a lot of luck on the celeb spotting front and have the photos to prove it.

And now more Irish students over in the States on their J1 have bumped into another celebrity. Jessica Reilly, from Mullingar, spoke to our friends over in JOE about how she managed to get a photo with actor Charlie Sheen.
She’s currently in San Diego on a J1 and while at the Hyatt Hotel with a few friends they bumped into the star.
Jessica told JOE:
“He was an absolute gent, he shook all of our hands and told us not to cause too much trouble. I said ‘you too’, and he laughed and told me that ‘it was too late’ for him.”
In the picture which she shared online she said:
“Bumped into this legend in an elevator yesterday, he was kind enough to hop into a photo and tell us to stay out of trouble.”
