Jackie Joyner-Kersee once famously said, “It’s better to look ahead and prepare than to look back and regret”.
Well, we’d certainly agree but it’s quite difficult to not have regrets when every time you look down your past mistake is staring you in the face.
Enter 21-year-old Lewis Flint from Grimsby. When Lewis was 16 he decided to get a very interesting and, sure, moderately witty tattoo in a very sensitive area.
When I first got it done aged 16 I couldn’t stop getting it out, I got loads of attention and I was a bit of a local hero, I loved it,” Lewis revealed on Channel 4’s Bodyshockers.
“But I was with a girl recently and I liked her, things were going well until we got naked. When she saw it she said ‘what’s that? I am off!’ I was gutted, I never thought I would regret my tattoo when I got it done.”
In fairness, Lewis, it sucks. Literally.
For those of you unable to make out the body art, Lewis has a partial tattoo of Henry Hoover. The part that’s missing is supplemented by a body part. We shall leave the rest up to the imagination.
“When I think about that night the girl walked out it does haunt me and puts me off showing it to other women in the future,” he continued. “Laser is too painful for me to get rid of this tattoo, I am going to have to put up with it.”
