Empire Magazine conducted a survey to find out who is the greatest film character of all time and the results aren’t that surprising.
While we would have expected a few more female characters on the list (there is only one), we can’t argue with most of these picks.
The August issue of the publication will reveal all 100 of the greatest movie characters of all time but until then, here are the top 10…
1. Indiana Jones
2. James Bond
3. Han Solo (Star Wars)
4. Batman
5. Ellen Ripley (Alien)
6. The Joker
7. John McClane (Die Hard)
8. Tyler Durden (Fight Club)
9. Darth Vader (Star Wars)
10. The Dude (The Big Lebowski)
Empire also put together a list of the best television characters of all time including Walter White (Breaking Bad), Homer Simpson (The Simpsons) and Sherlock Holmes (Sherlock).
Again, only one female made it onto this list but it was one of our favourites, Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
