Coronation Street‘s Roy Cropper will face a jail sentence after he attacks one of his neighbours by accident.
The soap favourite, played by David Neilson, has been having trouble with a group of local thugs in recent weeks.

Roy ends up attacking one of his neighbours when there’s a break-in at the café.
When he hears someone breaking into his café, he grabs a bat to chase the perpetrator away but ends up hitting them. The person is later revealed as his neighbour Gary Windass (Mikey North).
According to The Daily Star, Gary breaks into the business as he needs money to buy presents for his child. Little does he know that his efforts will land him in hospital with serious injuries.

Gary ends up in hospital after Roy hits him with a bat.
Roy is then arrested and charged with assault. He apparently receives 100 hours of community service, a punishment that he himself feels is too soft.
Never a dull day in Weatherfield, eh?
