The Love Island lie detector was absolutely savage last night.
Laura C was crying. Megan was crying. Alexandra was crying. Every single boy had at least one ‘lie’ come up.
And Jack and Dani had a huge row that ended up with people worrying he had actually quit the villa.
Jack hasn’t left Love Island, but he and Dani’s fight is set to continue tonight – and it’s not looking good.
Following Dani storming off after quizzing Jack about the results, he tells the Beach Hut:
“Imagine you keep saying something to somebody and they’re telling you you’re wrong and you’re lying. Just giving me the hump.
“What is the point? Just going around in circles.
“I’ve said ‘mate, you’ve got nothing to worry about.’ My head isn’t going to be turned, I’m not going to be tempted on the outside by any girls at all.
“It’s not going to happen. All I’m getting back is ‘oh no, you will.’
“What do you want me to say then? ‘Oh yeah, I will be.’ I don’t understand it.”
Meanwhile, Dani is talking to Laura and Alexandra about her fight with Jack – and how she is worried about their future together.
She says:
“Obviously with Jack, ever since I’ve been in here, you know, it hasn’t been easy the stuff I’ve always heard from the outside.
“His past, the girl that he was with was in here, she explained how he was to her and it was awful for me, it was not the Jack I knew.
“I completely get that I probably have changed Jack…everyone wants to be that girl.
“I want to be that girl when I get out of here, and have all that. I don’t want my boyfriend’s head to be turned. Does any girl?”
And it sounds like the results of the lie detector test have really, really gotten to Dani, as she tells the girls: “I can’t be with a liar.”
Elsewhere in the villa, Jack is talking to Alex about the fight – and he is not backing down, insisting it is Dani in the wrong.
He fumes:
“Do you know what mate, I’m just really upset and angry at how that went and I’ll tell you for why.
“She’s upset like ‘could you be tempted by other girls outside of here?’ All I can do is say to her ‘Dan, you’ve got nothing to worry about, let me show you.’
“Which is what I kept saying. But she wasn’t having any of it. Do you know the thing that’s upset me the most right?
“She’s upset and having a go at me for something that hasn’t even happened yet.”
Things get awkward as the Islanders head to bed for the evening, with Jack and Dani clashing (again).
Jack tells her that she’s “doing the worst thing you could possibly do by saying ‘don’t be with me then.”
“Obviously because you’re upsetting me, you keep making me feel like it’s my fault,” she retorts.
Jack tells Dani that he thinks she went about the situation wrong by storming away from the fire pit – something he said he hasn’t done in an argument.
Dani tells him that “maybe you deserve better then,” before Jack bluntly replies:
“That is the most dramatic thing I’ve ever heard.”
The next morning, Dani is telling the girls that it was “really horrible” to be fighting with Jack – and she just wants to sort it out with him.
In the Beach Hut, she adds:
“I just want him to understand why I was upset, just have a little bit of understanding towards me.
“I am a bit stubborn sometimes and I don’t like being in the wrong. I hate saying ‘sorry’, it’s such a struggle for me.
“I do want to have a chat with him and see where we can move forward with it because it’ll just get a bit petty otherwise.”
The pair do come face-to-face in the villa, where they try and hash out the issue once and for all.
Jack tells her:
“I understand why you were upset about being tempted outside. I understand why you were a bit upset about that. But I haven’t actually done anything.”
Dani admits that she knows he wouldn’t be unfaithful on the outside, the question just shook her up a bit.
She adds:
“I know you haven’t, I never said you had done anything though.
“It just upset me the whole situation why that one come up, I couldn’t understand why.
“Why you’d be unfaithful on the outside? Because me and you have been so good in here that when that question came up of course I’m going to think ‘what?’
“Of all the questions, I don’t care about any of the other ones. That one is so important to me.”
Jack is keen to offer her reassurance, telling her how she has nothing to worry about when they do leave the villa.
He continues:
“The only thing I can say to you is that when we leave, you’ll see that you have nothing to worry about, you really have got nothing to worry about.
“But essentially, I love you, want to be with you, and I want to have a family. That’s what I want out of us two and I’m so happy that I’ve found it.”
