Home and Away favourite Alf Stewart will be left fighting for his life in an upcoming storyline.
According to Digital Spy the character, played by Ray Meagher, is set to spend a night in the trenches with the students as part of a school trip.
Alf is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
But he starts having flashbacks of the war and ends up walking off by himself. He then becomes disorientated and is later found, by the rest of the group, in a ditch.
Alf is rushed to hospital with chest pains, a consequence of his confusion, but it is not known whether he will pull through.
He is a Home and Away legend.
