Home and Away star Andrew Morley has confirmed that he is leaving the show but tells fans not to believe everything they read.
The actor, who has played Spencer Harrington in the soap for two years, took to Twitter after Woman’s Day leaked the news.
The website reported that Andrew’s decision to leave is because he wants to pursue a career in Hollywood and the US pilot season is approaching.

This is something however that he seems keen to play down. He wrote: “Apologies to the faithful and incredible fans to hear the news in this disappointing way.
“I find it hard to believe within the family of Home and Away there (ever) is an ‘onset source’ that claims to know us so well.
“Just don’t believe everything you read. Guys, there is so much fun stuff ahead for Spencer. And who actually said he’s leaving forever?!
“LOVE YOU ALL!!”
According to reports Andrew’s final scenes will be aired in April of this year.
