Have the Tissues Nearby if You’re Planning on Watching EastEnders Tonight

"We've only just started"

If you’re planning to snuggle up on the sofa with a cuppa and the live episode of EastEnders this evening, you might want to have a box of tissues sitting nearby.

Last night executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins revealed during a stream on the show’s official Facebook page that it’s going to be an emotional one.

He revealed: “There’s a few little surprises tomorrow. “Oh gosh, there are! Tomorrow is like being continually punched in the gut.

“That’s not a very good sell! You know sometimes you like a good cry? Tomorrow’s a good cry.”

Tonight’s episode, which is going to be completely live, will deal with the aftermath of the Lucy Beale killer reveal. (Don’t read on if you haven’t watched it yet.)

In a dramatic twist, Bobby was revealed as the killer.

As you probably know by now, in a shocking twist Lucy’s half-brother Bobby was unveiled as the perpetrator.

As well as that, Kathy Beale was brought back from the dead and Dominic insists that this week is only just the beginning of the drama.

“A lot’s going to happen yet,” he explained. “We’ve only just started. For this week, we wanted to end the Lucy Beale storyline but also start up some new ones.”
