Ireland is fast becoming the place to go for many major Hollywood productions, with Star Wars and Game of Thrones being filmed here, as well as the hit series Vikings.
Now we have some excellent news for you; The Extras Dept are looking for actors and will be holding an open casting call this weekend for people looking for small roles in their upcoming productions.
This is a great chance if you’re looking to break into the TV world and all you have to do is show up at the event on Saturday.
The Extras Dept. will be holding an Open Casting in Bow Street, Smithfield, Dublin 7 on Saturday April 8, from 12-5pm.
According to the casting call:
“This event is FREE to the public. There is no need to register and drop-ins are very much welcome. If you do intend to pop into us, please click attending on this event so we can keep updated.
“This event for new members, people who would like us to help them set up an effective profile and work as an extra in Film and TV productions across Ireland. Current members are more than welcome to drop in and say hello. We can even update your measurements with you, put up a new profile picture and catch up on what’s going on.
“Make sure to bring along a copy of your ID (Passport) in order to complete your profile. If you already have a profile, there’s no requirement to make a new one. You would just be coming to meet our team and talk to us about working as an extra with us.
“This is an OVER 18’s event. We encourage you to sign up your child on the website, but this is an event for people who are 18 and over. If you would like to make a profile with us but can’t make it down to us, never worry!”
