Actress Emilia Clarke is to play Sarah Connor in the forthcoming Terminator reboot.
It is reported that the actress impressed Skydance and Paramount executives when she read for the role which was originally portrayed by Linda Hamilton.
According to Variety, Brie Larson and Margot Robbie were also previously considered for the role.
Director Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World), is said to be at the helm of the reboot but little is known about the storyline.
A Terminator television series is also in development and could potentially air alongside the films.
Emilia is currently playing the role of Daenerys Targaryen in HBO’s Game of Thrones.
