Georgia May Foote is thought to be in the running for a part in an American soap and it looks like another Coronation Street alumni is set to join her stateside.
Zaarah Abrahams, best known for her role as Joanne Jackson in Corrie from 2005-2007, has landed a part in The Knick.
Joanne will play a character named Opal in the second series of the hospital drama which is set in New York in the early twentieth century.

A source told The Sun that the actress was “absolutely thrilled” at landing the part.
After leaving Corrie, Zaarah went on to star in Waterloo Road and she came third in the 2008 series of Dancing on Ice.
