Helen Flanagan is set to join the cast of medical drama Holby City this summer.
The actress, who played Rosie in Coronation Street from 2000 to 2012, is to take on the role of agency nurse Kirsty from July.
Oliver Kent, Holby City’s executive producer, said: “We’re delighted to have Helen on the show. She’s going to ruffle some feathers.
“So it’s definitely an episode to watch”.

Speaking about her upcoming role, Helen said: “I’m really pleased to be working in a show I really enjoy”.
Helen appeared in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2012 but this new opportunity is one of her bigger roles since leaving Coronation Street in February 2012.
