In the buildup to Series 3, Huffington Post have compiled a list of facts we never knew about our favorite Netflix series.
We’ve selected five that REALLY blew our minds.
1. Laverne Cox’s twin brother, M. Lamar, played Sophia in the scenes before her gender transition.
2. Jodie Foster directed two episodes of OITNB, and won an Emmy for her work on the show.
3. Laura Prepon, who plays Alex, originally auditioned to play Piper, but producers thought she was too sassy.
4. Constance Shulman, who plays Yoga Jones, also voiced the character Patty Mayonnaisse in the cartoon Doug.
5. Jackie Cruise, who plays Flaca, made cameo appearances in the Kardashian spinoff Kourtney and Kim Take Miami.
