EastEnders is really hitting fans with the hard-hitting storylines of late.
Last week, we had the nerve-wracking plot about a row over recycling bins.

Then, in last night’s episode, there was a plot about…a parking fine.
And you thought you were having a bad Monday! 😉😉😉

Yes, that’s right: the story revolved around Kim Fox getting a summons for illegal parking in bus lanes and disabled spots – having stolen Donna’s permit – and her partner Vincent discovering the news.
Riveting stuff, eh?
Sure enough, frustrated soap fans were quick to pile in with sneers and abuse:
On Monday nights I have to sit through #eastenders last week was bin collections this week parking in bus lanes…… #really #writersoff

First #eastenders provide social commentary on bins and now an important lesson on parking in bus lanes. Hard hitting scenes but necessary

Others tried to see the lighter side of the plot:
Wait so Kim has resorted to stealing a disabled person's badge for ease of parking? That's a super villain level antic! #Eastenders

It’s a trying time to be an EastEnders fan: over the last few days, details emerged of the plans to permanently write Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell out of the show.
Stay strong, guys.
