Everyone’s favourite tea cosy inspiration will be on The Late Late Show

Sounds good!

Prepare to clear your Friday evening plans. Well, probably not but this might tickle your fancy.

The Late Late Show line-up has been revealed for tonight and it includes our favourite tea-cosy inspiration. None other than President of Ireland, Michael D Higgins joins Ryan Tubridy on the show.

He will be chatting about life as the State’s first citizen, his plans for the future, and, as the 1916 centenary year winds down, he will share his vision for a new Ireland.

Also on the show will be John Connors, who returns to discuss his major new documentary series on the history of the Traveller community, as told by the community itself.

Writer Stefanie Preissner will tell viewers what inspired her hit new TV drama Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope, starring Amy Huberman, and what it feels like to be labelled the ‘voice of a generation’.

Ireland’s Paralympic heroes Ellen Keane and Niamh McCarthy will be in studio to talk about their Rio success and RTÉ’s Paralympics anchor Daráine Mulvihill will discuss how the Irish team smashed it at this year’s Games.

Jessica Thom will talk about taking the challenge of her Tourette Syndrome and using it as part of her comedy.

Finally the music guests this week are fantastic with The Blizzards, Cathy Davey and Ralph McTell & John Sheehan all joining Ryan on the show.
