Amid rumours that there’s going to be a some movement in (and out of) the EastEnders cast, it has been revealed that James Forde is leaving the show.
Digital Spy reports that the actor, who has played the role of Liam Butcher since 2008, will be saying goodbye to Albert Square this summer.

James Forde is leaving EastEnders this summer.
A spokesperson told the website: “We can confirm that James Forde will be leaving EastEnders later this year. We wish him all the best for the future.”
No other details about his departure storyline have been disclosed but, knowing the BBC soap, we’ve no doubt it will be memorable.

The actor played Liam Butcher for seven years.
Over the weekend James hinted at his exit, tweeting: “Absolutely honoured to have world with some of the people I have worked with. It’s amazing and the future is exciting [sic].”
The 18-year-old might not be the only cast member leaving Walford as executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins recently said there are big changes ahead.
