And there’s major changes afoot.
There’s another twist in the tale of this year’s X Factor as it has been revealed that the Judges’ Houses section of the show will now no longer be broadcast live.
Plans to air the section live were in place since earlier this year, but according to reports, the logistics of it have proven to be too much for the crew.
The section will now reportedly be pre-recorded as it has been before, but now, in yet another new twist, the singers will not be told if they are progressing to the next stage.
Instead, X Factor hopefuls will have to wait until October to hear their fate in a live episode to be filmed at a London studio.
“We’ve always planned to have a live element to Judges’ Houses, to give it more tension and drama,” a source for the show stated.”
“The biggest part of the show is the contestants’ reactions – finding out whether they have made it to the live shows and learning who the final 12 are.
“Now that we are finalising our plans this will all happen live from the studio in Wembley with all the judges and the contestants together, along with their friends and family,” the source continued.
“For the rest of the show, we are going to pre-record the contestants performing on location, as logistically and technically this will give us the best show for viewers.”
