If you’re an Eastenders fan, you might recognise the name Dirty Den for the villainous character caused havoc on the soap from his first appearance.
Leslie Grantham previously turned down a role in Coronation Street but recently expressed interest in appearing on the Corries cobbles when speaking to The Sunday People.
“Since I left EastEnders, I have been doing lots of theatre,” he said. “It would be nice to go back into TV – people like me in this country, I think.
“I would like to go into Corrie but I’ve been Den for so long. It’s difficult to get in now if you are well-known in another soap.
“I know Michelle Collins went into Corrie but I’ll always be known as Dirty Den”.

The 67-year-old also spoke about how he admired actor Nigel Travers who established a film career before appearing on Corrie.
“It would be nice to follow people like Nigel Havers. He went to Corrie but he had made his name in Chariots of Fire”.
Dirty Den first appeared on the show in 1985 as landlord of the Queen Vic. His character was involved in criminal activity which resulted in him getting shot.
Although Den was believed dead, he reappeared on the soap in 2003. Two years later, he was killed off by his second wife Chrissie.
Confused? Us too and we can imagine Leslie would shake things up if he arrived in Weatherfield.
