Former EastEnders star Dean Gaffney has revealed that he would be open to returning to Albert Square.
The actor, who played Robbie Jackson on the popular soap, told Digital Spy that fans are always asking him whether he would return.
He explained: “I’m sure there are former cast members who you wouldn’t ask that question to because their life support isn’t there – their families aren’t in the show.
“But with me, that question is always asked – would Robbie go back? There are a lot of tweets from people who think it’s only a matter of time and it’d be lovely to see Robbie back.”

He continued: “Natalie Cassidy (Sonya) and Lindsey Coulson (Carol) are two of the greatest actresses in that show, and I feel that the Jacksons are a big part of EastEnders.
“Robbie and Wellard were certainly a permanent fixture of that too, and I do hope one day that both myself and EastEnders can come to some sort of agreement and say, ‘Look, where has Robbie been?’
“It’d be very interesting to see where he’s been and with the fact Sonia and Carol are back there too, it does leave scope for that door to be left open.”
