He’s going to be “confused and horrified”.
Coronation Street’s David Platt is reportedly going to be in for a massive shock as someone from his past arrives in Weatherfield.
According to The Sun, David’s former cellmate, Paul Foreman, is going to be making a dramatic arrival on the cobbles soon enough.
The pair haven’t seen – or spoken – to each other in more than six months, and the hairdresser “isn’t going to know what to do” when he sees his former prison pal.
A source told the publication:
“David isn’t going to know what to do when he sees Paul on the cobbles. He and Paul got on well in prison but David doesn’t want to think about that time.
“So when he sees him on the cobbles he’s confused and horrified.”
David was locked up earlier this year for missing a court date after he attacked Gary Windass during a charity boxing match.
After his horrifying ordeal with Josh Tucker, David lashed out at Gary – which led him being locked up and terrified.
Eventually, Paul – played by Peter Ash – became his cellmate, and the two formed an awkward alliance of sorts.
An insider told The Sun that bosses were keen to bring the character back “for a longer stint” after the response from fans.
They said:
“Bosses were really impressed by Peter and viewers loved him.
“It was a no brainer to bring him back for a longer stint.”
