There’s going to be a new (but familiar) face on the cobbles soon and he’s going to be causing some trouble for one of the couples.

According to Digital Spy, he has been cast as Hamish who is set to tempt Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) away from boyfriend Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson).
The couple’s relationship has been under pressure recently and it’s only going to get worse as Steve, who is suffering from depression, pushes Michelle further away. She then confides in Hamish and they apparently start seeing each other.
Steve and Michelle’s relationship is going to be under more pressure as the weeks progress.
James’ role is only for a period of three weeks but it is set to tie in with one of the soap’s biggest storylines, that being the mini-bus crash involving Steve which will happen in the New Year.
