Coronation Street’s newest arrival Lucy Fallon has spoken out about what’s in store for her character.
The actress, who plays Bethany Platt, will be making her first appearance on the cobbles next week when her onscreen alter ego arrives from Milan where she has been living with her mum Sarah-Louise for the last few years.
But while the teenager is swapping a major European city for Weatherfield, there’s going to be a lot of drama in her life.

Lucy told Digital Spy that she’s chuffed to be part of the cast: “It’s amazing as she’s such a fun character to pay. She’s very feisty and she’s got a really good personality. It’s such a great character to have for my first ever TV role.”
As for upcoming storylines, Bethany is quite the troublemaker: “She’s quite bored, so she decides to get on a plane and stir some things up in Weatherfield… Bethany is definitely a bit of a wild child. She’s very feisty, but she does a lot of it to get a reaction.”
