Rosie Webster is here to stay.
It looks like Helen Flanagan is extending her stint on Coronation Street. She was initially supposed to come back for a short period, as part of a storyline with her on-screen sister Sophie, but show bosses have now signed her up for longer.
The head of Coronation Street, Kate Oates, told Metro that they are delighted to have her back and that she has signed on permanently.
She said:
“We are thrilled to have Helen back and delighted that she is now going to become a more permanent fixture in Weatherfield.
Rosie is a classic Coronation Street comedy character and we are looking forward to seeing more of her antics in the future.”
When Helen made her return earlier this week she was met with a lot of criticism.
People were initially excited to see Helen come back to the show, but her appearance on Monday night didn’t seem to go down too well.
They were mainly commenting on her acting ability.
Criminally bad acting from Helen Flanagan as Rosie Webster on #Corrie, but I didn’t expect the police to turn up mob-handed quite so swiftly
