Coronation Street’s live episode takes place this Wednesday but according to reports, there have been a couple of problems in recent weeks.
The Mirror reports that some of the soap’s regulars are annoyed at the fact that some rehearsals have caused them to work late into the night.
According to the publication, Barbara Knox, who plays Rita, fell ill on Sunday and was unable to take part in the practice.
Producers had to use a stand-in for the scene which featured Rita, Sarah (Tina O’Brien) and Callum (Sean Ward).
However, it’s believed that Barbara is feeling better and will feature in the upcoming live episode.
Corrie’s ratings have fallen in recent weeks and there’s going to be changes at the helm of the soap as producer Stuart Blackburn will be replaced by Emmerdale’s producer Kate Oates next year.
