Coronation Street star Hayley Tamaddon is leaving the soap after two years.
The actress, who plays Andrea Beckett, will be waving goodbye to Weatherfield in September as part of a storyline for the show’s upcoming live episode.
Hayley has played Andrea on the soap for two years.
The specific details about her exit are being kept under wraps however it has been said that the door will be left open.
She told Digital Spy: “I came into Corrie for three months and have stayed for two years! I will be so sad to leave, I have had the best two years of my life here, it really is one big family.”
The actress with her onscreen love interest Lloyd Mullaney.
The 38-year-old added: “I am excited about my exit storyline and the fact that it is part of the live episode.
“Corrie has given me a great platform to hopefully go on to work on other dramas, but I’d never rule out a return to Weatherfield as I love it so much.”
