Coronation Street’s Tisha Merry has said she is worried about making a slip-up in the soap’s upcoming live episode.
Tisha, who plays Steph Britton, said that she has a habit of calling other characters the wrong name and fears she will make the same mistake when it comes to the live show.
Appearing on This Morning today, Tisha said: “We were talking about this before! I get the name wrong all the time. Even in normal episodes I’m saying, ‘Andy-Gandy-Gavin’. All the time. It’s so easily done”.

Tisha said she often calls characters by their real names
“I remember I was in a scene and it was really fiery and I was supposed to say, ‘Leanne’ and I said, ‘Jane’! Everyone laughed and it’s so easily done. There’s so many names for everybody – and [Oliver’s] got about five!”
The live episode has been scheduled for September to coincide with ITV’s sixtieth birthday celebrations.
During the recent Eastenders live week, Tanya (Jo Joyner) made a mistake with one of her lines, calling Ian Beale by his real name Adam.
