Earlier today, it was reported that Coronation Street actor Simon Gregson had been temporarily written out of the soap as he was unwell.
However, the actor has since tweeted that he was ill but is now better and will return to work on Monday.

He wrote that he would be back on set to annoy co-star Alan Hasall, who plays Tyrone and, Alan was quick to write back saying he would see him soon… an adorable bromance.

Simon is currently involved in a storyline concentrating on depression and one of the show’s producers, Stuart Blackburn, recently revealed that this would form a major part of the Christmas Day episode.
“On Christmas Day and beyond, we’ll see a real challenge to Steve and Michelle’s relationship. I absolutely know that Simon Gregson and Kym Marsh are very good actors,” said Blackburn.
