Would you fit their description?

Ever wanted to be on TV? Now’s your chance.

Gogglebox is set to make an Irish version, giving us an insight into Irish families and homes while they watch some of the biggest moments on TV. While it was announced earlier this year that it would come to Ireland, no official details about the casting have been revealed until now.

According to The Independent, The Herald got some information from a source close to the production which said that a number of families have already been approached.

Having said that they’re still on the look out for families who fit a particular description and that’s “GAA lovers from across the nation to voice their opinions on what’s on the telly.”

The source added, “In Ireland, they’re going to focus on regional families, so there will probably be a family from Dublin, maybe one from a rural, farming background and then a sports-mad GAA family.

“They’re keen to get a good cross-section of families so that viewers will find it more relatable.

“They particularly want big characters who aren’t afraid to speak their mind – and who love watching television.”

It’s due to be shown on TV3 and made by Kite Entertainment. Anyone wishing to take part can email Miriam.Smyth@KiteEntertainment.com.
