Big Brother is back on our screens less than a week, but viewers are already outraged at the moral standards of this year’s show.
Channel 5 bosses have come under fire after forcing a recovered gambling addict to make a decision that boiled down to gambling between possibly winning £27,000 and a £150,000 prize-fund.
Big Brother decided to shake things up by asking the public to vote for the winner of this year’s series, just days into the new show. The final three were named as Jack, Harriet and Danny.

Jack was then awarded the winner of Big Brother 2015 – but it was the next task that left fans outraged.
In the Big Brother Time Bombs – a series of unexpected twists forced on the housemates – Jack was asked to gamble on his chances of winning the overall prize.
Big Brother revealed that Jack’s prize was a brand new BMW worth £27,000, but if he accepted his win, the overall prize total of £150,000 would go down to zero.

The 23-year old, who is a recovering gambling addict, opted to stay in the house, telling the diary room:
“It’s a no brainer, I’m staying.”
Before adding:
“I’m just going to carry on have fun and enjoy it.”
Fans of the show hit out at Channel 5 for the timebomb twist, tweeting:
Jack is a gambling addict. Why would they make him take part in a task like this? #BBUK #dutyofcare

Jack revealed his past with gambling earlier this week, telling housemates:
“It’s very difficult and has taken a lot out of me, but being in here takes me away from it.
“It’s a major issue. It’s difficult. It’s taken a lot out of me now. Really it’s difficult. Not having it for a while is brilliant. I can’t touch it.
“This is a chance for me to sort my life out.”
