Bad News For Louisa Johnson As Her Winner’s Single Has The Worst Ranking In XFactor History

Simon Cowell won't be too happy with this.

It hasn’t been a great year for the XFactor.

Between ratings drops, and accusations of fixes, it was never going to be an easy ride for the winner of this year’s show.

Which was never more evident than this year’s winners single entering the UK singles chart at number nine – the worst ranking of an XFactor winner’s single to date.

All the previous winners reached the no.1 spot in time for Christmas, bar Joe McElderry and XFactor’s biggest critic Steve Brookstein, who both broke into the charts at number two.

Both tracks did eventually climb to the number one spot.

Louisa Johnson, whose single ‘Forever Young’ was released on Sunday night, has sold just 39,000 copies of her track.

This is compared to last year’s winner Ben Haenow, whose single ‘Something I Need’ sold 214,000 copies, claiming the top spot for the festive season.

Despite being crowned the winner of this year’s competition with 53.9% of the public vote, it doesn’t seem like the fans have decided to continue their support by picking up a copy of Louisa’s debut single.

It is now believed Justin Bieber will remain at the top of the charts for a third week with his track ‘Love Yourself’. He is also currently at number two with his track ‘Sorry’.
