The death of Philip Seymour Hoffman sent shock waves through the film community. Tributes have poured in for the actor who is believed to have died from a suspected drug overdose.

Among one of the sweetest tributes was from Cameron Crowe, the director of the brilliant Almost Famous.

Hoffman played a character called Lester Bangs in the film, a role which was based on the real-life American music journalist, author and musician.

This will bring a tear for the eye.
