Heartbreak is horrible, we’ve all experienced it at some point or other and let’s be honest, it hurts a lot.
That’s why Love Island viewers felt so strongly for Alexandra Cane after last night’s Love Island because Alex George decided he wasn’t feeling it and this came as a massive shock to her after their date.
Skip forward to tonight’s episode which features the aftermath.
Needless to say, she’s not in a mood to chat to him the morning after their encounter and when they eventually do talk, she tells him exactly why she’s unhappy with how things went between them.
Alex wants to chat as soon as he wakes up practically but Alexandra isn’t having any of that and so, she tells him to wait.
When she eventually chats to him, what she has to say is so honest and straight from the heart that you can’t help but feel for her, and also want to be her best friend.
“As a female, you can’t help but think that things are progressing in a certain direction, and maybe we are more emotional characters. I just need you to know that because obviously it hasn’t worked out with us, but maybe in the future just be cautious of that.
“The things that you said to me yesterday on our date, that you’d like to continue dating me on the outside, and just things that you were saying, maybe led me on a little bit if you were feeling doubtful. A girl really holds onto things that guys say, and we believe every word of it”.
I mean, girl power right there.
Now look, every relationship is different and every girl is different too but fair play to her for pointing out that leading someone on is never okay.
