A former Spice Girl has slammed Little Mix for being too raunchy

Surely this is hypocritical?

What happened to Girl Power?

One of the best things about The Spice Girls is the empowering message they send in every song, about female friendships, standing your ground and being a strong, independent woman.

One Spice Girl has slightly broken the rules of girl code by speaking out against current girl band, Little Mix.

Talking to the Sunday People, Mel C, aka Sporty Spice said of the four popstars

“‘I love Little Mix. I loved them on the X Factor. I just thought they were so different…

“But they are getting more provocative. To me, they were kind of the closest thing to the Spice Girls we’ve  seen. They are all gorgeous and great singers.

“But they weren’t sexy and it’s got more and more that way.”

Mel confessed to preventing her daughter Scarlett from watching their videos and performances because of their apparent raunchiness when performing.

“She is a massive Little Mix fan but I’ve started to be more sparing in what I show her.

“I don’t let her watch videos by artists that aren’t appropriate for her. That makes me a bit sad.”

MEOW!

Considering The Spice Girls were chastised for wearing crop tops and short skirts back in their heyday, surely it’s a bit silly to be condemning Little Mix, Mel?

Why can’t we all just get along?
