EastEnders fans are in for a blast from the past next year as Lola Pearce is set to return to Walford.
The news of the fan favourite’s return was confirmed by the BBC on Thursday, there years after she was last seen on screen.
Lola and Jay had made plans to leave Albert Square and start a new life tighter in Newcastle. However, he was left heartbroken when she made the decision to end her relationship and leave with her daughter.
Speaking to Metro, a spokesperson for the show said:
“Lola is a far cry from the teenager who gave birth in McKlunky’s. Mature and confident, Lola is fiercely protective over her daughter Lexi, and isn’t bothered about what anyone thinks of her.
“But what brings Lola back to Walford, and how will everyone react?”
