There are so many films on TV on a weekly basis, we thought we would draw your attention to some of the better movies that you can check out from the comfort of your own home. Here are five of the best films that are on TV this week.
1. Antichrist, Film 4, Monday 23.10.
Well, this certainly won’t be everyone’s cup of tea and we really think we should probably issue a warning about this one but with Nymphomaniac just a week away from release, it probably is worth catching up on Lars von Trier’s past work. The story revolves around a couple who have lost their son and are trying to deal with the aftermath and their grief. They retreat to a cabin called “Eden”, but when they confront the darker side of human nature, not everything goes according to plan.

2. 10 Things I Hate About You, E4, Tuesday 8pm.
Arguably one of Heath Ledger’s most loved roles, 10 Things I Hate About You tells the story of a new student who needs to find a guy to date the meanest girl in school so that he can date her sister. You need to watch it for that poem alone!
3. The Company Men, Film4, Wednesday 23.15pm
A very touching story about the recession, The Company Men revolves around three employees of a company that is about to go bust and the impact the events have on them. Ben Affleck is simply brilliant while the real stand-out is the brilliant Chris Cooper. This really didn’t get the attention it deserved and is certainly worth a watch.
4. The Craft, Comedy Central, Thursday 8pm.
Probably one of the greatest films from our teen years, The Craft tells the story of a young girl who falls in with a crowd of witches at her new school. If you didn’t see this when you were younger, it might not be the greatest idea to watch this now.
5. A History of Violence, RTE2, Friday 9pm.
A Cronenberg classic, a History of Violence revolves around a seemingly normal guy becomes a local hero when he prevents an act of violence in his own cafeteria, but is he hiding something from the people in the town? Mortensen is stunning in this piece as is the brilliant Bello.
