Since Zayn Malik left One Direction, there have been rumours suggesting the star is to launch a solo singing career.
However, it seems like the 22-year-old has something very different in mind as he plans to branch into the film industry.
OK Online has reported that the former pop star has been discussing his plans with Bend It Like Beckham director Gurinder Chadha.

We’ve met and spoken – he trained as an actor first then became part of the band,” Gurinder told The Mirror.
“So I think what he’ll be doing is staying true to his heart – and that’s all you can ever do.”
Chatting at the Asian Awards, where Zayn picked up a contribution to music award, Gurinder said she didn’t have a part in mind for Zayn yet but “hopefully in the future”.
