English singer-songwriter and member of Atomic Kitten Natasha Hamilton has revealed that she has split from her husband Riad Erraji.
According to the Daily Mirror, the singer was devastated after her husband of six years moved out of the family home three weeks ago.
“When I took my wedding vows I thought it would be forever but somehow over the last year we have just fallen out of love and, no matter how hard we try, we can’t get it back” she said, speaking to the Mirror.
“There’s no drink or drugs or anyone else involved. We’ve just grown apart – and that’s the devastating thing.”
“In a way that would be easier. Then there would at least be a solid reason why it ended. Riad is a great dad and he’s still the love of my life. I’m just so incredibly sad.”
Natasha, 31, said that the hardest thing to do was telling their children about the split. She has two children Josh and Harry and they also have a three-year-old son Alfie together.
“We had to sit the older two down on the sofa and tell them we were splitting up but that we both loved them and, even though we weren’t together as a couple, they would still be our No1 priority.
“Of course there was no point in telling Alfie as he doesn’t really understand.”
“He is still asking if Daddy is coming home every night.”
Natasha told the Mirror how fellow band members Kerry Katona and Liz McClarnon are helping her through the heartbreak.
Despite her sadness it appears that the Atomic Kitten singer has hope for the future.
“It’s been such a bad year but I know things have to get better” she said.
“I’m really excited about Atomic Kitten getting back together and it’s fantastic to be back with the girls.”
