Actor Martin Sheen is to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Dubai International Film Festival.
“I am truly honoured to accept the Dubai International Film Festival’s ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ and [I’m] looking forward to celebrating the region’s gifted cinematic storytellers” said Sheen.
This will be the 10th year that the festival will be on the go and Sheen will be awarded the event’s highest accolade.
Over the years Sheen has earned many awards including a Golden Globe for his portrayal as The President in The West Wing back in 2001.
The celebrated actor will also be taking part in a Q&A session at the festival.
Previous winners of the award include Morgan Freeman and Sean Penn. The festival runs from December 6 – 14.
