Pippa Middleton has been named as a new Vanity Fair contributing Editor. The Duchess of Cambridge’s sister will write about her (and Kate’s) obsession with Wimbledon and tennis.
Pippa has previously written for Waitrose magazine after she was hired for a monthly “Friday Night Feasts” column.
“I first went to Wimbledon when I was eight years old and already a very keen tennis player,” says Pippa. “During this first trip I acted on my childish tennis dreams and bought myself a postcard of the women’s championship trophy, on which I wrote, ‘I will win this one day,’ with my signature below.”

Pippa also released a book last year entitled Celebrate: A Year of Festivities for Families and Friends, which was her own personal guide to party-planning.
“We’re delighted to have Pippa as a contributor to Vanity Fair,” says editor Graydon Carter. “She’s a keen observer of classic British pastimes. She is also an avid sportswoman, and we look forward to her take on traditional English pursuits, beginning with Wimbledon.”
Hard to believe that Pippa used to have to queue with the rest of us before taking that seat up in the box!
