Actor Mark-Paul Gosselaar and wife Catriona McGinn have welcomed their first child together to the world.
Their son Derek Edward Gosselaar was born at around noon on Monday in L.A.
“We are overjoyed with the new addition to our family. We are madly in love with our little boy,” Mark-Paul told People Magazine.
”He is healthy and just perfect — all we could ask for.”
“It is not traditional and it is not too quirky. It is different, but it’s not something odd,” he said about the choice of name a few weeks ago.
Gosselaar is already dad to Ava Lorenn (7) and Michael Charles (9). Eight months after tying the knot with advertising executive McGinn, the couple announced that they were having a baby.
“We’ve always wanted a big family,” he said.
“The kids are looking forward to a little sibling, and are asking a lot of funny questions right now.”
