RTÉ TV personality Dáithí Ó Sé is expecting his first child with wife Rita Talty.
“Something is stirring,” he said in an interview with the Sunday Independent.
“Rita is expecting our first child.”
The TV show host is celebrating his wife’s pregnancy just weeks after his father’s death in Kerry.
“The light at the end of the tunnel is shining brighter now” he continued.
“Dad knew the news and was over the moon.”
“It’s a pity they’ll never meet, though.”
“It’s great news for us,” said Rita, a former New Jersey Rose.
“We are incredibly excited.”
Dáithí and Rita married in 2012. The happy couple’s baby is due next March.
Dátihí’s father, Maidhc Dainín Ó Sé, passed away last month suddenly at their home in Ballydavid. He was a prolific Irish writer and published 19 books.
